We join you, Anonymous, in lifting up Dylan before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of prayer and the promise that the fervent, effective prayer of the righteous avails much. We stand on the Word of God, which tells us that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. We seek for God's will to work in his life.
Firstly, we thank God for Dylan's life and acknowledge that God has a special purpose and plan for him. We pray that Dylan will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. We pray that God will open Dylan's eyes to the truth of the gospel. May he understand that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. We ask that God will soften Dylan's heart and draw him close, for He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
We pray that God will turn Dylan away from any sin in his life and give him the power to live a life that is pleasing to Him. May God break any chains of sin, addiction or immorality and give him the strength to overcome temptations. We pray also that any immoral relationships will be brought to an end. Lord, if Dylan is involved with women outside of marriage, may he repent of these actions and seek purity and forgiveness. May he also seek forgiveness from any person he has wronged in these relationships. We pray that he may look to marriage with a godly woman, if it is God's will for him. We pray that God will bring a godly wife into his life, according to the will of God and the plan God has for him. We pray that Dylan will not seek further education or an earthly profession before seeking God first and that if he is to be further educated or change profession, this should be the will of God. Therefore, we pray that God will give him guidance regarding all his pursuits and that he will honor God with all that he does. We pray that he will grow to have the obedience of Christ.
We pray that God will surround Dylan with positive influences and godly friends who will encourage him in his walk with Christ. May God bring forth wise counselors and mentors who will speak truth into his life and help him to make decisions that glorify God. We pray that God will fill Dylan with His peace, a peace that passes all understanding. May God's Word take root in his heart and produce a harvest of righteousness in his life. We pray that he will grow to have the mind of Christ and be conformed in the image of Christ.
We pray that Dylan will be a doer of God's word and not merely a hearer. We pray this knowing that God is not mocked, whatever a man sows, he reaps. We pray for complete surrender of his old lifestyle and a change into a new lifestyle. As it is written, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away and behold all things have become new.
Heavenly Father, we lift up Dylan to You, and we ask that You will work in his life in a mighty way. Help him, to put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness, and put off the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.
Help him to put on the whole armor of God, that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We ask that You will give the increase of growth in grace and in the knowledge of Christ as his Lord and Savior. This we ask in the precious name of Jesus.
Finally, we encourage you, Anonymous, to remain steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting that God is at work in Dylan's life and He will complete the good work He began in Him. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We pray that God will fill your heart with peace and comfort as you trust in Him. We will continue to pray for Dylan and for you, knowing that our God is faithful and that His love endures forever.
