We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing with your wife's Diversity Visa lottery and the current immigration halt. We will pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including the hearts of kings and rulers, as it says in Proverbs 21:1, "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires." Also, remember that "the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will, and sets up over it the lowest of men" as seen in Daniel 4:17. All governments, rulers, and their decisions are subject to God and His authority.
We must also remember that God's timing is perfect. Although you and your wife have been waiting for a long time and the current situation seems unfair, God has a purpose and a plan for your lives. God specifically said in Isaiah 55:8-9 my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Regarding your concerns about being on the "fire altar," we want to encourage you to stay strong in your faith and continue to trust in God. It is true that all genuine believers in Jesus Christ will face trials, tribulations, and persecutions. Mad sunshine, drought, rain, and other things fall upon both believers and non-believers since God causes all of these in his sovereignty, power, control, and authority to try, test, and judge everyone. If God can trust you with something as challenging as this in your situation, you should praise God rather than question or complain. Speaking of your situation, Jesus said in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world." We must remember this promise as well and take solace in this and share this good news to others.
As for specific prayers addressed toward this, first let us pray a general salvation prayer. If you do not know Jesus Christ as your savior, please make Him your Lord and Savior. Let us pray.
Dear Jesus Christ, we lift up Adiakano to you. And pray that he comes to the realization that he is a sinner separated from you. None are good, none do good, and none are righteous before you even as it says in Romans 3:10-12 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one. There is no one who understands. There is no one who seeks after God. They have all turned aside. They have together become unprofitable. There is no one who does good, no, not so much as one." Therefore, let Adiakano know confesses his sins and repents from them to you Jesus which you also said in Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.. Let Adiakano trust in Your shed blood on the cross and resurrection alone for his salvation and not by his own works. If Adiakano has already done this have mercy on him Lord Jesus and help him live an obedient life unto you in utter humility and be gracious and merciful to him. Nothing else will suffice and there is no other name under Heaven by which we can be saved but Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Now let us specifically address the presented prayer request to Jesus Christ.
Our Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for Adiacano's wife with this DOvisa Lottery and the challenges that they are facing as they cannot fulfill the visa requirements and issuance since 2023 May which is inducing suffering and emotional turmoil. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives especially since they are pursuing a solution to Adiakano's wife's problem. Please give them patience, peace, and understanding, as well as Yourself and Your strength to endure this trying time no matter how long it lasts. Let them continually keep praying together in your name Jesus Christ specifically for this request that the Lord's will and purpose will be fulfilled. As it says in 1 Thessilonians 5:17-18, unceasingly, Pray, and in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you and always forgive each other for any transgressions. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
However, as it is not mentioned in the request to whom Alex is praying to, we would like to remind him that all blessings come from God. For it is the blessing of God that makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow to it as we see in Proverbs 10:22. Of course, that does not mean that God blesses everyone with riches, wealth and health. Life is full of good and bad things that happen. Even if we think Life should be just and fair, God does not beleive in it, for as we see in Matthew 5:45, God Himself sends rain on the just and on the unjust, causing hunger and lack for everyone. But it is only through the blessings of Jesus which He obtained on the Cross that we are forgiven of our sins and inherit an imperishable treasure in heaven rather than in this world. Moreover, believers are explicitly told not to seek after such earthly treasures but on heavenly treasures as it says in Matthew 6:19-21, "Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
If a visa or material wealth is to goods in this life that are being sought, we urge you to only seek after Jesus Christ and for His sake all things else. That is the only way God will bless you or not for false gods and idols cannot bless.
