We are truly saddened to hear about the trial you are facing in your marriage, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we want to remind you that God hates divorce, as it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel". Nevertheless, we also know that God allows divorce in certain circumstances, such as adultery, as mentioned in Matthew 5:32, "but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery."
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will for your marriage. In addition to praying, make sure you are spending time and effort to restore your marriage. Seeking godly counsel from a pastor or a Christian marriage counselor can also be helpful in your situation.
If your wife insists on divorce, we advise you to remain gracious and kind, as it is possible that your godly response may lead her to repentance, as stated in 1 Peter 3:1, "In like manner, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word".
However, if the divorce is finalized, know that God still loves you and has a plan for your life. Continue to trust in Him and be an example of a godly father to your children.
Regarding your children, we want to assure you that God cares for them even more than you do. Keep praying for them and teaching them in the way of the Lord. In Proverbs 22:6, it is written, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother Ghairkirlion, who is hurting and in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for his marriage, that You would soften his wife's heart and bring restoration. Help them to seek You together and to be the Godly parents their children need.
In the event that divorce is unavoidable, we pray that You would comfort Ghairkirlion and guide him through this difficult time. Enable him to be a godly example to his children and to continue trusting in You.
We also pray for his children, that You would protect them and draw them close to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep praying and believing in the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
