Tewtyrift, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you face this challenging and heartbreaking situation with your son. Let's bring this before the throne of grace, seeking God's help and guidance together.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God cares deeply for your son. He loves him so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for him (John 3:16, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we pray, as it is written: "In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We rebuke the spirit of addiction and suicide that is plaguing your son. God's Word tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are not our own (1 Corinthians 6:19, WEB). It is not God's will for your son to harm himself or to be bound by addiction. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18, WEB), and He is able to break every chain of addiction in your son's life.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Tewtyrift's son to You. Lord, we know that You love him deeply and desire for him to be free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol. We rebuke the spirits of addiction and suicide that are tormenting him, and we ask You to set him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We pray that You would give him a sober mind and a heart that desires to live for You. We ask that You would surround him with godly influences and people who will speak life and truth into his situation. We pray that You would reveal Your love to him and draw him closer to Yourself.
We also pray for Tewtyrift, asking that You would give them strength, wisdom, and peace as they navigate this difficult journey. Help them to be a beacon of Your love and hope to their son. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Tewtyrift, to continue standing in the gap for your son. Be persistent in prayer, trusting that God is at work, even when you cannot see it. Remember, God is faithful, and His love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8, WEB). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
