We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation your son is in, and we stand with you in prayer and support. Firstly, we need to acknowledge that the power to overcome this dire situation comes from God through faith in Jesus Christ and His death for our sins. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is written, "In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him." Ephesians 3:12 (WEB)
The older woman is committing a grave sin by keeping your son in bondage 24/7 to drugs. This can be seen as a form of control and manipulation, which is condemned in Scripture. "For freedom, Christ freed us. Stand firm therefore, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." Galatians 5:1 (WEB)
We must first pray for the salvation of both your son and this woman. It is only through a changed heart that true freedom can be found. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36 (WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear son who is trapped in the bondage of drug addiction. Lord, you see the manipulation and control he is under, and we ask that you break these chains in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for conviction and salvation for the woman who is keeping him in this state, that she may see the error of her ways and turn to you and your Holy Word. We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ would bring deliverance and salvation to this young man. As you've promised in your word, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 (WEB)
Father, we ask that you surround this family with your Holy Spirit, guiding them through this trial and providing them with the wisdom and resources needed to help their son. Turn what has been meant for evil into good, strengthen their faith, and bring glory to your name.
We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Take courage, dear parent, and remember that God is with you and your family during this trial. Keep praying and trusting in Him and His Son's death on the cross for the sins of all mankind.
