Hi everyone! Let's lift up @natasha2 who's seeking guidance about visiting her parents and dealing with some struggles. Also, let's pray for healing for @Arooville's liver and for all the mothers mentioned to be blessed with faith, health, and joy. And let's not forget to pray against rising prices in Croatia. Let's agree in Jesus' Name!
We are truly saddened to hear about your son's struggle with drug addiction. We will stand with you in prayer and trust in the Lord's ability to bring healing and restoration. Remember, God's word tells us that nothing is impossible with Him (Luke 1:37 WEB).
Firstly, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her son who is battling drug addiction. Lord, You know their struggles and their pain. We ask that You would break the chains of addiction in his life and bring him into a right relationship with You. Give him the strength and conviction to take action towards recovery and change in Jesus name.
Lord, we also pray for our sister, that You would give her the wisdom and discernment to know how to help her son. Help her to set boundaries that reflect biblical principles and that are wise as serpents and harmless as doves as taught in Matthew 10:16. Guide her in showing tough love that will lead her son to recovery and not enable his addiction in Jesus name.
Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us in Jesus name. Ephesians 3:20. We ask for forgiveness for any enabling behavior that could encourage the addiction. We claim your word where You say "Therefore if any person is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). In the name of Jesus Christ we claim his identity in Christ and ask that he takes responsibility for his life and repents. That he turns away from all wicked ways and trusts in You to overcome them.
Lord, we ask that You would surround this family with Your love and protection. We pray for our sister that has prayed for her son. Keep her in perfect peace whose mind is steadfast because it trusts in you in Jesus name (Isaiah 26:3). Guide her and fill her with the Holy Spirit that she can persevere in prayer for her son's deliverance. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
In addition to our prayers, we encourage you to set boundaries that reflect biblical principles, being wise as serpents and harmless as doves. For example, it may be necessary to limit financial support to ensure that you are not enabling his addiction. Remember, it's God's kindness that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4 WEB), and sometimes the kindest thing you can do is to allow your son to experience the consequences of his actions and allow God to work in his life that way.
It's encouraging that your son has expressed a desire to recover. Let's pray that God would give him the strength and conviction to take action towards recovery and change. We trust in the Lord's ability to bring healing and restoration to your family.
We would ask you to consider if your son has heard the good news of the gospel, Jesus Christ. It is only through belief in Jesus Christ that he can receive help from God. It is only by believing in Jesus Christ that we can receive any request from God. That if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised him from the dead he will be saved (Romans 10:9). That Jesus Christ will give him eternal life and the power to overcome sin (Romans 6:4). He may be suffering from a life of drug abuse and lies because he needs Jesus. Maybe you can share this good news with him and pray with him.
