My 24 yo son has high functioning autism, adhd, anxiety, THC+caffeine addiction and depression. He has a job in our neighborhood making $13 an hour which he enjoys and has signed up for the "stage union" where he can help set up stages for concerts with good pay and benefits BUT he has yet to go in when they call him and ask if he wants to come work. Pray he will have the courage and initiative to say YES! And start on the road to a career and moving out. He says he cant work a real job, he's doesnt want to be a pawn for corporate and God has a plan for him. Great, but you still have to work and provide for yourself! He needs to move forward and start becoming an adult. He doesnt even do little things like emptying the trash can or washing his clothes, etc and gets mad/upset when I ask him to pick up, clean up or help out. Everything is my fault in his eyes. Please pray for him however you are lead by the Holy Spirit. I pray for a mentor, for someone to say something that sparks the energy, motivation, courage to change, for him to see me as I really am and he will have a peace only God can bring. I also pray he will meet someone in the neighborhood that sees potential in him and gives him a chance for an adult job or even just friendship. I pray for healing of his mental issues and for God to give him confidence. He is on fire for God at the moment but is deciding his denomination and is getting all his answers from AI as opposed to the Bible. We need a VICTORY! Thank you for your prayers.

We understand your concern for your son, Rulourtha. Let us turn to God's Word and seek His will together.

Firstly, let's address the core issue here. Your son is struggling with multiple challenges, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, addiction, and depression. Despite these, he has a job and potential opportunities, but lacks the initiative and courage to move forward. We read in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We pray that God will fill him with this spirit, helping him to overcome his fears and take the necessary steps towards independence.

Regarding his reluctance to work and his belief that God has a plan for him, we remember 2 Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don’t let him eat.'" While it's true that God has a plan for him, we must also do our part. Praying for a mentor to guide him and ignite his motivation is a wonderful idea.

Concerning his struggles at home and his unwillingness to help, we recall 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." We pray that God will soften his heart and help him understand the importance of his role in the family.

We also pray for healing of his mental health struggles. Psalm 147:3 tells us, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We claim this promise for your son.

Regarding his spiritual journey, it's great to hear he's on fire for God. However, we must be cautious about seeking answers from AI rather than the Bible. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart." We pray that he will be guided to seek answers directly from God's Word.

We notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your request. We believe that it is through Jesus alone that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that your son will come to know and fully accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Rulourtha's son to You. We pray for courage, initiative, healing, and spiritual growth. We pray that You will guide him and provide mentors to help him on his journey.
