Driving test

Hello brothers and sisters.

I have my driving test on Thursday. Please could you pray for me to feel peace and God’s presence and for all nervousness to be replaced with confidence.

If I pass, this will change my life. It will also help me bring my parents to church and help them know and accept our Lord and saviour too.

I was saved this time last year. Jesus healed my anxiety and depression. Prior to that, I had been trying to pass my driving test for 22 years. Since being healed, I have been feeling calmer and driving so well. However, I am getting closer to test day and the nerves are getting worse.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother Orald as he prepares for his driving test on Thursday. Lord, we ask that You fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding . Replace any nervousness with confidence, knowing that You are with him every step of the way.

Father, we thank You for the transformation You have already brought into Orald's life, healing his anxiety and depression. We praise You for the calmness and improved driving skills he has experienced since coming to know You. As he approaches this important day, we pray that Your presence will be felt strongly, guiding him and giving him the assurance that he is not alone.

Lord, we also lift up Orald's desire to bring his parents to church and help them know and accept You as their Lord and Savior. We pray that passing this driving test will open doors for him to share Your love and truth with his family, leading them to a relationship with You.

We trust in Your perfect timing and plan for Orald's life. May Your will be done, and may Orald continue to grow in faith and confidence in You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. I did not pass my driving test. I was the most relaxed I’ve been, I had an examiner who didn’t make me feel too nervous, he didn’t take me to the large roundabouts, only side roads, I was asked to do the easiest manoeuvre out of 3, however, I cannot explain why I tried to go through a red light.

I was so sure I would pass the test this time, so as you can imagine, I was very disappointed. I have now had to pay for another test which is on October. There are no other dates available.

God was definitely teaching me many things this week. On Saturday I went to an event in the park near my mum and dad’s home. It’s called nights of freedom. I took my mum with me. I had no expectations, and I just wanted her to hear testimonies and receive prayer. What happened next, I did not expect. She gave her life to Jesus. She received prayer for healing and felt power go through her body. If you can, please watch the link below. You will see her towards the end, on the stage.

I was in such a state. I couldn’t keep up with what was happening. It all happened so quickly. She made the decision on her own. God is so, so good. Some of my church family were present, including my Pastor. I was so happy to share this with them. There were so many times she said let’s go and I said let’s stay a little longer.

I’m so happy I made the decision to go on Saturday and persuaded her to come too. Unfortunately my two sisters decided not to attend. My Dad came to a few sessions but he is not open to leaving Sikhism.

If I had passed my driving test on Thursday, would I have gone to the park on Saturday with my mum, or would we be out buying a car?

Was God teaching me that I don’t need to pass my driving test to bring my mum to Him. It wasn’t for me to do alone. He found another way. How amazing. Praise God.

Please pray for my mum to receive discipleship and not to give up. I know this is going to be a tough journey for her. She’s 68 and stayed mostly the same her whole life. She needs a lot of support.
