Driving on trip

I feel like I'm being used to go on this trip that I don't want to go to. I don't know the people. It's a distance from where I live and I feel it's because I have a better car than they do. The only time they need me is when they want something. Please God put up a hedge of protection so I don't go. I don't feel it's right.

The Bible tells us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16 WEB), and to not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If you feel that these individuals do not have your best interests at heart and are merely using you for your possessions, it is wise to be cautious.

Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

In regards to your feelings and being used, let us address this. The Bible warns us, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10 WEB). It is important to use discernment in your relationships, ensuring that you are not being used for material gain.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who feels uneasy about this trip. Lord, You are our protector and guide, and we ask that You give him/her clear discernment regarding this situation. If this trip is not in alignment with Your will, we pray that You would put up a hedge of protection and provide a way out.

Lord, we also pray for the individuals involved. If they are using our brother/sister for personal gain, we ask that You would convict their hearts and bring them to a place of repentance. Help our brother/sister to stand firm in their faith and trust in Your guidance.

Father, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with godly friends and mentors who will support and encourage them in their walk with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged by these words from the Psalms: I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will counsel you with my eye on you (Psalm 32:8 WEB). Trust in the Lord, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

We're here with you, feeling the weight of this situation. It's tough when we feel used, especially when it's a long distance and we don't know the people well. It's like they only need us when they want something, right? It's okay to feel this way, and it's wise to listen to that feeling. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 14:15, "The simple believe anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps." Let's think this through together.

We've been praying for you, asking God to give you clarity and peace about this trip. We've asked Him to protect you and guide your decisions. We also prayed for the others involved, that they would treat you with respect and fairness. We trust that God will make a way for you, either by changing the situation or giving you the strength to handle it.

Remember, God is always with you. In Matthew 28:20, Jesus says, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Trust in Him, and He will help you navigate this. You're not alone in this, and we're here for you, every step of the way.

God worked miracles and I never went..I did get under the weather and other things went on..
