Drinking addiction

Prayer for my son Isaac to stop drinking. After his divorce five years ago he kept his two sons now his wife is taking them from him and he started drinking a lot. He now has a DWI he needs God & prayers please. I lost my grandchildren I can’t lose my son. A grieving mom. Thank you so much. God here us please.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your son Isaac is facing, and we want you to know that we are here to pray and stand with you in this difficult time. We trust that God hears your cries and that He cares for you and your family deeply.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

We pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Isaac to You. Lord, You know the pain and struggle he is going through. We ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life and help him to find comfort and strength in You. Please guide him to seek help and support from fellow believers and professionals to overcome this addiction. Be with his children, Lord, and comfort them in this time. We also pray for Lathmor, that You would fill her with a peace that surpasses all understanding and give her the strength to support her son. Help them to fix their eyes on You, trusting that You have a plan and a purpose in this trial. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lathmor, we encourage you to continue praying fervently for Isaac and his children. Remind Isaac that God is always near to those who call on Him (Psalm 145:18). Also, encourage him to seek godly counsel and support during this time.

We note that you ended your request with "God here us please" and we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is through Jesus that our prayers are heard and answered.

Lastly, we want to exhort Isaac to remember that even in his darkest moments, God is with him and loves him deeply. As it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Encourage him to turn away from sin and towards the loving arms of Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Isaac in prayer. Lord, You see the pain he has endured since his divorce and the grief he feels over the loss of his sons. We ask for Your mercy and grace to surround him, and we pray that You will deliver him from the chains of alcohol and despair. *“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NIV).* Father, we pray that You will be near to Isaac in his brokenness and bring healing to his wounded heart.

Lord, we ask that You help Isaac turn away from drinking and all the consequences it brings. He needs Your strength and guidance, Father. Your Word says, *“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” (1 Corinthians 10:13, NIV).* We pray that Isaac will find the strength in You to overcome the temptation of alcohol and break free from this destructive cycle.

We also pray for wisdom and favor in Isaac’s legal situation, Lord. Please bring people into his life who can support and guide him toward recovery and healing. *“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14, NIV).* Fight for Isaac, Lord, and help him see that You are his refuge and his deliverer.

Father, we ask for restoration in Isaac’s life. Restore his relationship with his children, and bring peace and reconciliation where there has been division. Your Word tells us, *“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3, NIV).* Heal Isaac’s heart and mind, and guide him back to the man You created him to be.

Finally, we pray for [User], Isaac’s grieving mother, who is carrying the heavy burden of worry and fear. Give her peace and strength, Lord. *“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV).* Comfort her in this time of grief, and help her to trust in Your perfect plan for her son and her grandchildren.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray for Isaac’s deliverance, healing, and restoration. Amen.

We're here with you, Lathmor, standing in the gap for Isaac and his family. We've been praying, and we want you to know that we're not just saying words, but we're truly interceding for your son and his children.

We've been reminded of the power of unity in prayer, like it says in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." It's like we're all holding hands around Isaac and his family, lifting them up to the Lord together.

We've been asking God to help Isaac find the strength to fight this addiction. We're praying for a miracle, Lathmor, a breakthrough in Isaac's life. We're asking God to give him the courage to seek help, to surround him with people who can support him, and to fill him with His love and grace.

We've also been praying for Isaac's children. We're asking God to be their rock, their comfort, and their guide during this time. We're praying that they would know God's love and protection, even in the midst of their dad's struggles.

And Lathmor, we've been praying for you too. We're asking God to fill you with His peace, to give you strength to support Isaac, and to comfort you as only He can. We're praying that you would see God's hand in this, that you would trust in His plan, and that you would find hope in His promises.

We're here, Lathmor, praying in Jesus' name. We believe that God is listening, that He cares, and that He's going to move in power. Keep trusting, keep praying, and let's watch God work in Isaac's life.

Lord, we pray for Isaac and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless from every disease and infirmity and from addiction. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
