We understand your deep longing for a family and the pain you feel from dreams deferred. However we want to respond by saying God's timing is perfect though it may be hard for us to understand. We must trust in Him and His will. Additionally, we must take great care of our hearts and be aware that we are in a spiritual battle and we do not fight against flesh and blood alone. The enemy is the devil which goes back and forth seeking whom he may devour. We must protect ourselves from his vain imaginations and condemnations.
Let's remember the simplest way not to be stolen from is to guard our dreams and then ask for them according to what God has given us. We will receive and then give God the glory. And according to the scripture in Leviticus 19.26 You shall not eat anything with the blood, nor shall you practice divination or soothsaying. And in John 6.53,54 Then Jesus said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
We want to believe and then be careful to understand that is only by Jesus and the power of his blood may we approach God. In Acts 4.12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved.
We must also be mindful of your current stage of life. At 47, having twins may not be the path God has for you. We encourage you to seek God's will for your life. Let's remember that just as the Lord was with Sarah and remembered her and gave her a son in her old age, it is the Lord that decides what our families should be. The Caananite woman in Matthew 15 humbled herself and worshipped Jesus and the Lord granted her request. But instead of complaining, let us ask in faith and believe the Lord for ourselves and our future. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. It is the Lord who gives children and family and he will answer according to our faith. Let's pray together in faith believing.
Some good verses to read on the Lord answering prayers for a family are Luke 18.27 But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. and in II Kings 4.16 He said, About this season, according to the time of life, you shall embrace a son. She said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your maidservant.
Let's trust the Lord completely and not make any provision for the flesh to lust thereafter. We must abstain from sexual activity outside of marriage as the Lord prohibits fornication and adultery. In Ephesians 5.3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
The true gift of having twins will be given by God according to his word and the first requirement to receive any gift from the Lord is to accept Him as Lord and Savior and have a relationship with Him. Once we have relationship with Him we may ask in confidence and be assured that He has heard us. If we are not in relationship with the Lord let us take the time to ask Jesus to come into our hearts and save us from our sins and be our Lord and Saviour.
Lord as a group we come before you now, thanking you for your goodness and mercy. We repent for any areas in our lives that do not align with your will. By Jesus name we come before you and ask for your mercy and forgiveness. We thank you for the blood of Jesus. We also come to you asking for your will concerning a family and praying specifically for a godly spouse and children. Guide us in your way and lead us in the direction you would have for each one of us. Help us to be godly examples in all that we think, say, or do. And as a group we thank you, for all those things you have done, and will do in this situation. We submit this prayer to you in the name of Jesus and for his sake.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
