Natasha, we understand your longing for a drama-free and joyful life, and we appreciate your cry for mercy. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB: "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
Firstly, we want to address the fact that you did mention "Jesus" in your request. This is important as Jesus said in John 14:6 WEB: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We are also reminded of Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
God does not want you to live in perpetual suffering. In John 10:10 WEB, Jesus said, "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." This is the life that God intends for you, a life filled with His love, joy, and peace.
Regarding your parents, we are commanded in Ephesians 6:2-3 WEB, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth." We encourage you to forgive and honor your parents, even if they have caused you pain. Forgiveness does not mean what they did is acceptable, it means releasing the bitterness and leaving justice to God.
We also want to address the fact that you mentioned your age. Remember, it is never too late for God to work in your life. In Joel 2:25 WEB, God promises, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten." God can restore the time lost and bring joy and purpose to your life, no matter your age.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Natasha. Lord, You promise that those who come to You, You will in no way cast out. Father, Natasha desires a life free from drama and full of joy. Lord Jesus, You promised life abundantly, so we ask You to break the chains of suffering and bring healing and restoration to her life. Help her to forgive and honor her parents, and to trust You with her future. Restore the years that have been eaten away, and let her find rest for her soul in You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Natasha. Trust in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him in prayer, Psalm 37:7 WEB. He is faithful.
