Elizabeth, we are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you and Margaret are facing. It's understandable to feel doubt and fear when our prayers seem unanswered, but remember, God's seeming silence does not mean His absence. Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and encouragement.
The Bible tells us, "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). Even when we don't see immediate answers, we can trust that God is at work. Jesus reassures us, "I will never leave you, nor will I ever forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).
In times of doubt, cling to Jesus' words, "Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB). Remember, God hears every prayer, and He answers in His perfect timing and way.
We must also consider that sometimes God's answer is not the physical healing we hope for, but rather the strengthening of our faith and character. As Paul writes, "We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not in despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB).
Lastly, we want to address your mental health struggles. Please know that your life is incredibly valuable. God has a purpose for you, and ending it is not the solution. Seek professional help and support from your loved ones. As the Psalmist says, "Why are you cast down, O my soul? Why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him for the saving help of his presence" (Psalm 42:5 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elizabeth and Margaret. Lord, they are in pain, both physically and emotionally, and they are crying out for Your help. Please, God, reveal Your presence to them. Give them the faith to trust in Your goodness and Your plan. Provide healing, strength, and comfort. Be close to them, Lord, and remind them of Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Elizabeth, keep crying out to God, trusting that He hears and cares. Lean on His promises, and don't give up hope. You are not alone.
