Disciple of Prayer
Hi Everyone, I kindly ask for your prayers as I enter my final semester of school. My journey has been filled with setbacks, and with my comprehensive exam and final paper approaching, I feel overwhelmed and unsure of myself. These are the last two hurdles I need to overcome, yet despite being so close, I struggle with the fear that I won’t make it. Throughout my program, I have faced many challenges, and some of my preceptors have expressed doubts about my abilities. Their negativity has often made me question myself, leaving me feeling like I know nothing. I ask that you keep me in your prayers—for peace of mind as I study (and for me to actually to begin studying), strength to complete my paper, and confidence in my knowledge and abilities. This would mean the world to me as I work toward finishing this journey and stepping into my career. Thank you all so much.

We are here to lift you up in prayer and encourage you in Biblically based in your journey. First, we want to remind you that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. So do not fear.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control.
- Timothy 1:7 WEB

When you feel overwhelmed and unsure of yourself, remember that God is with you and He is faithful to complete the good work He began in you.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
- Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB

It is important to take control of your thoughts and not let the negativity expressed by others define you. Fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things.
- Philippians 4:8 WEB

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling overwhelmed and uncertain as they enter their final semester of school. We would like to declare that they are stepping into their career. We pray for peace of mind as they study and for the strength to complete their paper. We ask that You fill them with confidence in their knowledge and abilities, and that they would trust in Your faithfulness to guide them through this challenging time. Help to shut out the negative voices that surround them from their preceptors and others.

We also pray that they would fix their thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, and that they would trust in Your promise to complete the good work You began in them. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the author and perfecter of our faith.

We also pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit in their study. Give them wisdom and understanding to apply in their comprehensive exam and final paper.

We give You all the praise and honor for what You will do.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
- Philippians 4:13 WEB

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus and to trust in His plan for your life. He is faithful and will see you through this journey. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
