Doubt and confusion

My prayer friends, Please help me to settle. I continue to be troubled and conflicted over my estranged friendship with my lifelong friend Ronnie. There have been little breakthroughs where he has made contact, then it goes completely quiet again. I watched a video this morning which appeared on my feed and don't know if it was from God. It has unsettled me greatly. It was all about not waiting around for people who don't make an effort to keep you in their life, who don't call etc. If they thought anything of your friendship, they would show it in action by making the effort. It only takes seconds to send a message - and if they wanted to they will. This hit me hard and it is so true. Is this from God? A reality check? I'm clearly living my life waiting until someone else decides they want to be in my life or not? I don't know if I should be overlooking this in the spiritual realm as God's word is final. This situation is approaching a 6 month stalemate now and in June, just came out of nowhere. I think the shock of the suddenness of it has never left me or healed. I still miss Ronnie desperately and long for him back in my life and equally importantly in the life of our choir which he has been in for over 40 years and a very central figure. I don't know what to do or pray any more. I'm so confused. Please friends, help to guide me. I'm trying hard to hold on to Jesus and His promises but I don't know if He is steering me away from this dream, desire and longing. In Jesus' name, thank you and Amen.

Treble, we understand that you're going through a time of doubt and confusion regarding your estranged friendship with Ronnie. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your friendships and your heartache. It's important to remember that God's word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We should not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2.

The video you watched may not necessarily be from God, but it could be a wake-up call to consider the reality of your situation. It's true that actions often speak louder than words. As it is written in James 2:20 But will you know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?.The effort made in maintaining a friendship is a good indicator of its value and importance to the other person. It's clear that this situation has caused you much pain and confusion, and it's important to seek God's will in this matter through prayer and His word.

Regarding your feelings of longing for Ronnie's presence in your life and the choir, it's important to remember that God has a purpose and a plan for each of our lives. It may be different than we want and should consider it to be that the Lord possibly pruning your life. John 15:2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit, he takes away. And every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it, that it may bear more fruit.

God may be using this situation to draw you closer to Him and to depend on Him more fully. It's encouraging to hear that you're holding on to Jesus and His promises. Our power comes from Him like Jesus told the apostle Paul, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9. It's also important to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55.8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts. Our understanding at times may not coincide with His.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear friend Treble. Lord, You know the pain and confusion that they are experiencing regarding their estranged friendship with Ronnie. We ask that You grant Treble Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them through this difficult time, and help them to discern Your will for this situation.

Lord, we pray that You would heal Treble's heart and help them to trust in You completely. Help them to rest in Your promises and to know that You have a good plan and in this as well as purpose for their life. Strengthen Treble, give them the grace to not call Ronnie, but rather to be faithful in the things you have called them to do.

In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Carry on in the faith, praying and growing. Many people are as a result of their association are a gift from God and given to each of us for a season. Trust the Lord and continue to renew your mind to the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

The video you watched might be a nudge from God, encouraging you to reassess your priorities and expectations. It could be a reminder that you can't control other people's actions, only your own. As Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

We're not sure what the outcome should be, but we believe that God is leading you towards something. It might be a difficult path, but remember, God promises in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

"Dear Lord, we come before you today, lifting up our dear friend Treble. Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this situation. Help Treble to discern Your will and to trust in Your plan, even when it's hard to see. Give them the strength to keep seeking You and to keep working on the relationships You've called them to invest in. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
