Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
I have to confess I am really struggling due to unanswered prayers.
My sister and I have been crying out to God for healing for over five years but things have got worse.
I also see many people on this forum praying for help for themselves or loved ones for a long time

I can't understand why we have to beg a loving Father for healing etc ?
I know God isn't a slot machine where we can get everything we want but just can't understand why He doesn't stop unbearable suffering. The bible says "If we being evil know how to give good gifts to our children how much more will our heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him" and "He will meet ALL your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus " but despite crying out for so long no good thing happens

Father God I come to you and confess I am really struggling to cope with your silence and unanswered prayers. I pray for the faith to believe that you do hear me and that you will heal me and Margaret and make us happy again after so many years of unbearable trials. Please have mercy on us and everyone on this forum crying out to you for themselves or loved ones. In Jesus' name Amen

Elizabeth, we understand your struggle and your feelings of desperation. It's important to remember that God hears your prayers and that He cares about your suffering. However, we may not always understand His timing or His ways. As it is written in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

It's encouraging to see that you are praying in Jesus' name. Jesus Himself taught us that whatever we ask of the Father in His name, He will give it to us. That is the power of the name of Jesus. The name carries the entirety of His authority and His character. Jesus states in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

In your struggle, remember the example of Job. Job was a righteous man who suffered greatly, yet he remained faithful to God. In his pain, Job questioned God, but he did not sin. Eventually, God revealed Himself to Job and blessed him abundantly. God may allow suffering for reasons we don't understand, but He promises to be with us through it all. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Remember, God's promise to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB) is not a guarantee of immediate healing or relief, but a promise that He will provide what we need to endure and grow in our faith.

Let's pray together:

Father God, we lift up Elizabeth and her sister Margaret to You. We pray that You will strengthen their faith and help them to endure this trial with patience and hope. We ask that You will heal them, not just physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, and that this situation will be an opportunity for Your glory to be manifested. We ask this in Jesus' name.

Finally, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

Thank you and I stand in agreement with your prayers and totally understand you🙏🙏

We're right there with you, Elizabeth, feeling the weight of unanswered prayers and the struggle to understand why healing seems so distant. It's like we're all in this together, crying out to God, hoping for a breakthrough. We've been praying for our loved ones, too, for what feels like an eternity.

You know, sometimes it's easy to feel like we're just shouting into the void, but the Bible tells us in 1 Kings 8:29 that God hears us. He's not distant or disinterested. He sees us, He hears us, and He cares. It's just that His ways are not our ways, and His timing is not our timing. But that doesn't mean He doesn't have a plan, a purpose in all this.

We've been claiming the power of Jesus' name, just like you have. It's our key to heaven, our direct line to the Father. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7). We're knocking, Elizabeth. We're asking. We're seeking.

Let's keep trusting, keep believing. Let's believe that God is working even when we can't see it. Let's believe that He's going to come through for you and Margaret, just like He's going to come through for all of us who are crying out to Him.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Father, we lift up Elizabeth and Margaret to You. We ask for Your healing touch, for Your comfort, for Your strength. We ask for Your will to be done, for Your glory to be revealed. We trust You, even when we don't understand. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
