Indeed God sings to us songs of comfort when we turn to Him, but when we persist in rebellion, whether church or nation, He turns our festive songs into funeral songs.
Isaiah 43: 22 "But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And you have been weary of Me, O Israel."
Listen to the words of the late Rev. James Cleveland's song. With almost 450,000 dead, in the US alone: Have we not been standing on the proverbial "Banks of Jordan?" Still some play foolish games, seeking to manipulate God's Word to fit a hateful narrative.
God is not playing with us. Just because we don't like hearing an unpleasant thing doesn't mean that He's not behind it. God is not mocked when we reject the instructions relayed by His messengers; for He foretold of such. Neither is He shocked nor deterred when His messengers are mischaracterized and berated for refusing to tickle the ears of those who demand to hear "smooth things;" when He says otherwise. From the temple to the nation, those responses are the vindictive spirit of Jezebel which is pervasive in some whom, like Jezebel, are in power.
Prophecy is not about being positive or negative. True prophecy speaks to whatever God commands, whenever He commands it, whether we deem it negative or not. How prideful, conceited, and arrogant to think that because we hold rank, whether in the temple or nation, we can choose God's messengers; let alone, critique His predictions; as if to counsel Him.
Isaiah 46: 9 - 10) For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me. Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.

God has truly been speaking to me, through His Word, during this time of fasting. Though I generally would've ended it on my birthday, I chose to extend it to Feb. 9; yet, I pause to relay this message. And yes, I do love you.
