ThankfulBC, we stand with you in this time of uncertainty and weariness. It's commendable that you're willing to admit your part in your current struggles, as Proverbs 28:13 tells us, "He who covers his sins will not prosper; but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy."
In times when we don't know what to pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us, as spoken in Romans 8:26, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered."
We join you in prayer for your marriage, believing that God can heal and restore. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." And to wives, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, being himself the savior of the body." (Ephesians 5:22-23)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up ThankfulBC and their marriage. We ask that You intercede, Lord, bringing healing, understanding, and restoration. Help them to love each other as You have loved us, and to be subject to one another in reverence to You. Strengthen their faith and hope, and help them to continue trusting in Your perfect timing and promises. In Jesus Christ's holy name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, ThankfulBC, to continue being faithful, thankful, and grateful. Keep holding onto God's promises for you and your marriage. As Psalm 30:5 reminds us, "...weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning." Trust that God is working, even in the midst of your struggles.
