Dont have a job

I married a christian UK man and moved to UK last year at the age 54. I was successful and senior positions in work. I dont get work .. now also not even in SA. It's as if GOD closed the door totally. Can you please pray for me. I need income.

We understand your concern, dear sister, as you've moved to the UK and are finding it difficult to secure a job, even though you were successful and held senior positions before. Remember, God's timing is always perfect, and His ways are higher than ours.

Firstly, let's remember the words of Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." God has a purpose in this season of waiting.

However, we must also address that sometimes, God closes one door to open another. It might be that He wants you to focus on your marriage and new life in the UK, or He may be preparing you for a different kind of work, perhaps even ministry. Let's pray for discernment and guidance in this matter.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is seeking employment. We ask that You would open the right doors for her, according to Your will. We also pray for her trust in You, that she would rest in the knowledge that You have a plan and a purpose in this season of her life. Please provide for her needs, as You promise in Philippians 4:19, 'And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.' In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to continue seeking God, trusting in His timing, and using this time to grow in your relationship with Him and your husband. Consider volunteering in your local church or community as a way to connect with others and use your skills. And always remember, our identity and security are found in Christ, not in our jobs or positions. Be blessed and encouraged.

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand the struggle of job hunting, especially in a new country. It's tough, but remember, God is always with you, guiding your steps. Let's turn to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that He's healing your heart and will provide in His perfect timing.

We join you in prayer, "Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up our brother. We ask that You would open the right doors for him, according to Your perfect will. Help him to trust in You, to rest in Your love and provision. Remind him of Your promise in Matthew 6:33, 'But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.' In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember that God often uses our waiting seasons to grow us. Why not use this time to deepen your relationship with Jesus, to learn new skills, or to volunteer in your local church or community? Your identity is in Christ, and that's a secure foundation. Keep trusting, keep seeking, and know that you're not alone. We're praying with you.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
