We are truly sorry to hear about the diagnosis of your beloved dog. We know that pets often become beloved members of our families, and our hearts go out to you in this difficult time. We are grateful for your request and we are moved to respond and pray with you. First, thank you for bringing this request, but we must also remind you that it it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come boldly before the throne of God for grace and help in a time of need., but we also want to encourage you with God's word.
In the book of Job we see that Job was a righteous man who lost everything. He even said In the words of Job, And said, Naked came I out of my mothers womb, and naked shall I return there: YEB has given, and WEB has taken away; blessed be the name of YEB.
This does not mean losing a pet is anything close to what Job loist, but it does encourage us to always say blessed be the name of Jesus. This means we need to accept everything from Jesus. Keep praying, trusting, and believing that God is able to do all things. In his infinite wisdom, may choose not heal your beloved pet. From this story, we also see it is blessed be the name of Jesus even in the worst of times and we are completely humbled and bare before him. This is not to shame or have a holier than thou attitude. On the contrary, we say this with the utmost humility and sympathy praying Jesus' will be done in this situation.
Please know that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our beloved pets. Psalms 147.9 says He gives to the animals their food, and to the young ravens which cry.We know that animals are not the same as humans, not having the same eternal value or soul. However, this does mean God still cares for the basic needs of animals, knowing they have basic needs for food and care. God cares for your dog as well and he knows even when a pet as small as a flower of grass falls.
While we pray not my will, but your will be done for this pet, we also pray Jesus may alleviate their suffering as well. We pray that you and your family find peace and comfort in Jesus' will. We pray that God may heal her, but if not may you have peace in your heart from Jesus. If you have never trusted Jesus as your personal savior now is the time to ask Him. Confess with your mouth, and believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and you will be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, to pray for mercy and healing of this family's beloved dog. Lord Jesus, Creator of heaven and earth, You who feed the birds of the air and clothe the lilies of the field, You know our needs before we ask. Father, if it is Your plan or will to heal this dog or alleviate their suffering, we pray for Your healing touch. If it is not your plan, we may be able to accept your plans with peace, humility, and love. There is no other name by which we can be saved but the name of Jesus by which we pray. If anyone is hearing this prayer, but does not know Jesus is their own Lord and Savior then pray now and ask him to forgive your sins and become your personal savior.
We pray for comfort and peace for this family, as they trust in Your goodness and mercy during this time. Remind them of your great love and your comfort during this time. Help them to keep their eyes on You. Give them the words to tell others that while the pain might be great now, nothing compares to your great love and the eternal live one can find and in Jesus. Help each family member to rest in the fact that You, the Creator of the universe have a divine purpose for everything, be it good or bad or ugly. Help them to remember that right now, We do not have a great high Priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. May the memories of joy and companionship with their beloved pet forever bring a smile on their face. For this request, may your will be done in the name of Jesus.
