We understand your concerns, bobr69, and we stand with you in prayer as you prepare for your doctor's appointment on October 14th. We pray that God's will be done and that you find peace and comfort in His presence. Remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother bobr69. We ask that You guide the doctors and all medical staff, granting them wisdom and discernment as they care for him. May Your healing power be at work, and may Your will be done in his life. We also pray for all those in the path of Hurricane Milton. Lord, be their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Protect them, comfort them, and provide for their needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In your prayer, you did not mention the name of Jesus. Remember, it is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Let this be a reminder to always approach God in Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
As for the hurricane, let us not forget that God is sovereign over all creation. He is greater than any storm, and He cares for those who trust in Him. Encourage others to put their hope in the Lord, for He is our stronghold in times of trouble.
