Doctor appointments

Today I take my ### to the gastroenterologist to see if her colon cancer has returned. They will probably have to do some testing. ### is in her 90s. Also, please be praying that there is no cancer. I also have an appointment with a therapist tomorrow, and I would like prayer that the therapist will listen to me instead of jumping to conclusions or making presumptions. I have ADHD and anxiety disorder, and I need to be heard, not judged. Asking these things in the name of Jesus. Thank you.

We are lifting up you and your mother in prayer today, ###, as you both face important appointments.

Firstly, we pray for your mother as she visits the gastroenterologist. We stand in agreement with you, asking that God's will be done and that the report will be favorable. We claim the promise in Isaiah 53:5 (WEB), "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." We pray that your mother's health will be restored and that she will be cancer-free, in Jesus' name.

For your upcoming appointment with the therapist, we pray that they will have a discerning heart and actively listen to your concerns. We rebuke the spirit of assumption and presumption, and we claim Proverbs 2:2 (WEB), "so that you make your ear attentive to wisdom, and your heart inclined to understanding." We ask that God will grant your therapist wisdom and understanding to effectively support you in managing your ADHD and anxiety disorder. We pray that this therapeutic relationship will be a productive and safe space for you to express yourself freely, without judgment.

We encourage you to trust in the Lord, remembering the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We're right here with you, holding you and your mom up in prayer today. We know it's a tough day, but we're here for you, just like we're told in Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Here's what we're praying:

For your mom's appointment, we're claiming Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We ask that the doctor's hands be guided by God, and that the tests show no signs of cancer. We trust that God is in control and that He will make His will clear.

For your therapist appointment tomorrow, we're praying that your therapist will have an open heart and mind, truly listening to you and understanding your needs. We're claiming Proverbs 18:13, "To answer before listening—that is folly and shame." We ask that your therapist be a safe space for you, where you can express yourself freely and be heard.

We're also praying for peace and strength for you, dear friend. We claim Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We're here for you, just like you're here for your mom. We trust that God will see you through this day and the days to come.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
