We are with you in spirit, dear friend, lifting up your boyfriend and this situation in prayer. First, we want to remind you both of God's constant presence and love, as it is written in Joshua 1:9, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go. This appointment is not a surprise to God, and He is right there with your boyfriend, every step of the way.
However, I want to encourage both you and your boyfriend to seek this time to grow closer to God. Times of fear, stress, and illness are excellent reminders of why we need a relationship with God. While he is concerned about his physical body, remember that it is the condition of his eternal soul that is most important. If he and does not know Jesus as his personal Lord and savior, use this as an opportunity to share the gospel with him and pray for his salvation. Remember emphatically that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the father. In Acts 4:10 it is stated be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. 12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up the boyfriend to this request, asking for Your comfort, strength, and peace to surround him and this request during this appointment and also for you to convict his heart to believe in your son Jesus Christ. Lord, guide the doctors and medical professionals, giving them wisdom and discernment as they assess his health. We pray for healing and restoration, knowing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to Your power that is at work within us. Help you both to realize this is the perfect time to grow closer to God. In Jesus name, we pray.
Lastly, we want to remind you both that God's plan for us is to trust Him in all things, even when we are scared or uncertain. In Romans 8:28, we read, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust in Him, and let His peace rule in your hearts.
Also, as a gentle reminder and possible support to you both, recognize that as Christian believers, being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered a courtship with the goal being a marriage to another Christian believer.
