We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your child and the subsequent divorce from your husband. We understand that you are going through a tremendously painful time, and our hearts go out to you. We are here to pray with you and to offer biblical guidance as you navigate this difficult season.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Divorce is not God's will, and reconciliation is always the preferred outcome when possible. As it is written in Malachi 2:16 WEB: " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth'."
It is clear that you deeply love your husband and desire reconciliation. This is commendable, and we encourage you to continue praying fervently for your marriage to be restored. Remember, God can heal and restore even the most broken situations. As it says in Matthew 19:6 WEB: "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
However, it is crucial to address some concerns in your message. The fear of living alone and the desire to not have children with anyone else should not be the primary reasons for seeking reconciliation. Your focus should be on God's will and the sanctity of your marriage covenant. Additionally, the thought that death is the only way out of a marriage is not biblical. While marriage is a lifelong commitment, physical death does end the marriage covenant, as stated in Romans 7:2 WEB: "For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband." However, this does not mean that death should be sought as a solution to marital problems. God is ever-desiring of forgiveness and reconciliation.
We also need to address the fact that your message does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and His grace. As Jesus our Lord instructs: 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister who is going through immense pain and heartache. Lord, we pray for comfort. We pray for Your healing touch in her life. We pray for reconciliation in her marriage, Father. We ask that You soften her husband's heart and draw them both closer to You and to each other. We also pray that her love for her husband is purified and centered on Your will. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray for forgiveness, healing, and restoration. We pray for her lost child and we take hope in seeing him again in the resurrection. Help her to know the one true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to seek God's face and trust in His goodness.
