We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing in your marriage, and we appreciate your humility and willingness to fight for your union. God takes marriage vows seriously, and so should we. As it is written in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."
However, it is crucial to understand that while God hates divorce, He also does not want us to be unequally yoked or subject to abuse or unfaithfulness. We must be willing to do our part, but we cannot control or change our spouse; that is the work of the Holy Spirit.
In addressing your request, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father and the Holy Spirit as believers. As it is written in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." And also in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Now, let us pray for you and your husband:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ, Crairmir, and her husband. Lord, we pray for a miraculous intervention in their marriage, that You would soften her husband's heart and draw him back home. We pray that You would change his ways and bring him to a place of repentance and submission to Your will.
Lord, we also pray for Crairmir, that You would give her the strength, wisdom, and patience to endure this trial. Help her to be a godly wife, displaying the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We pray for their daughter as well, that she would be shielded from any negative effects of this separation and that she would grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray that both Crairmir and her husband would be drawn closer to You, that they would seek Your face and Your will for their lives and marriage. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name and believe it to be true and will come to pass as God wills it.
Let us encourage you, Crairmir, to continue praying fervently for your husband and marriage.
