We understand your desire, but we must stand firm on the principles outlined in the Bible regarding divorce and marriage. The Bible teaches us that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16, WEB), and that marriage is a lifelong commitment (Matthew 19:4-6, WEB).

First, we must address that Steve Henry needs to ensure his divorce is handled in a biblical manner. Divorce should only occur in cases of adultery or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse (Matthew 19:9, 1 Corinthians 7:15, WEB). We encourage you both to seek godly counsel and make sure that the divorce is aligned with biblical principles.

Moreover, we must rebuke the hurried approach to marriage. It's crucial to seek God's will and ensure that your union will honor Him. We advise you to spend time in prayer and courtship, getting to know each other deeply and growing together in faith. Remember, "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB).

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up Steve Henry and Rufina Mathurin. Lord, we pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate their current situations. We pray that any decision made regarding the divorce would align with Your will and biblical principles. We ask that You guide them during this time of courtship, help them grow in their faith and relationship with You, and ultimately, that Your will be done in their lives.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God grant you both patience, wisdom, and a deeper understanding of His will for your lives.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You.
