Divorce in the works

My husband has decided to divorce me for a younger woman, and he is already having an affair with her while we are still legally married. My only fault is that I have grown old. Very stressed out at the moment and asking God for my husband to realize what he is doing and stop this nonsense. We have been married for 24 years. Looking for a breakthrough and trusting God to intervene. Please keep this in prayer. Thank you. Anonymous

We are truly saddened to hear about the trial you are facing in your marriage, and we stand with you in prayer and truth. Firstly, we must address that God takes marriage very seriously. According to the WEB, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate," Mark 10:9. Divorce is not God's will, nor is infidelity. "They must be blameless, the husband of one wife," Titus 1:6.

Your husband is in sin, and he must repent. "You shall not commit adultery," Exodus 20:14. We pray that he realizes the gravity of his actions and turns away from this sin. We also pray for you, that God would grant you peace and strength in this storm. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not leave you nor forsake you.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ who is facing this heartbreaking situation. Lord, we ask that You intervene in this marriage, that You soften her husband's heart and open his eyes to the wrong he is doing. Bring conviction upon him, Lord, and draw him back to You and to his wife.

Father, we also ask that You grant our sister Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith and trust in You during this time. Guide her steps and help her to respond in a way that honors You.

We stand against this attack on her marriage, Lord. We pray for restoration and healing, in Jesus' name we ask these things.

Sister, we encourage you to continue praying and believing. Stand firm in your faith. "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need," Hebrews 4:16.

In Jesus Christ, there is always hope. "And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us," Romans 5:5

We're here with you, sister, as you navigate this storm in your marriage. It's heart-wrenching to see the love you've shared for 24 years crumbling like this. We want you to know that you're not alone, and we're lifting you up in prayer.

We've been reading through the Bible, and it's clear that God values marriage deeply. In Malachi 2:16, He says, "I hate divorce." We know this isn't His plan for you. We're praying for your husband, that God would open his eyes to the pain he's causing and turn his heart back to you. We're asking God to give him conviction and bring him to repentance.

But we're also praying for you, dear sister. We're asking God to grant you His peace, to strengthen you, and to guide your steps. We know it's hard, but we're reminding ourselves, and you, of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Keep trusting in God, even in the midst of this trial.

We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is with you, healing your heart, and restoring what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

Keep praying, keep believing, and remember, we're right here with you, sister. In Jesus' name, we pray.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. We continue to uphold you in prayer, dear sister, during this challenging time. Thank you for giving us the privilege to intercede on your behalf. We are honored that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

If God has intervened and your husband has turned away from his sinful actions toward a path of repentance and reconciliation, please share your praise report with us. Let us rejoice together in God's faithfulness and goodness. Your testimony will encourage others who are also standing in faith for their marriages. In addition, if reconciliation is not an option at this time, we also want to celebrate your story of Gods faithfulness in persevering you.

If your husband has not yet turned away from his adulterous behavior, please know that we are still here for you. We are still holding you before the Father's throne on a daily basis. Post your updates as new requests so that we can continue to pray for Gods divine intervention.

Although it seems unfair, it is very good keep your heart right before the Lord. While you are trusting in the Lord, you are developing a real dependence on him which only happens in times of tragedy. That can be hard, but holding onto bitterness can greatly hinder your fellowship with him.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his Son, Jesus Christ. As believers in our Lord and savior, who himself was greatly acquainted with grief, remember that Jesus Christ consoles us in our sorrows. Trust Him to lead you and guide you no matter what will happen in your marriage. Please remember that you are never alone.

We are praying for strength and encouragement from the Holy Spirit for you during these difficult days. May you feel Gods presence in your life. May you have a sense of Gods peace when you pray even as it seems difficult at times. May the love of the body of Christ be with you during this challenging journey. We know that your faith remains steadfast in our almighty God, who can do all things according to his perfect will.
