Later, when [Jesus] was alone with his disciples in the house, they brought up the subject [of divorce] again. He told them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery against her. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries someone else, she commits adultery."

Mark 10:10-12 NLT

Key Thought

In a world which takes divorce lightly despite the carnage left in the lives of the ex-spouse and any children from the marriage, God reminds his people that he takes seriously the sin of divorce when it does not have a basis in his will. He views unscriptural divorce and remarriage as adultery — betrayal of the original marriage covenant that the husband and wife made with him and with each other. He hates divorce and doesn't want it to happen among his people. Why? Is it because he wants to limit or punish or harm his people? No! Is it because of the damage done to the ex-spouse and any children and their faith? Yes! Can this problem of divorce be overcome? Yes, I do believe forgiveness and a new start is possible with grace. But as far as it is possible with us, divorce must be prevented. Even more, the reasons that can lead to divorce should be overcome. As Christian men and women, we must learn to make homes into relationships full of love, joy, and peace through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Today's Prayer

O Father, forgive us and help us. So many people in our time feel the pain of abandonment and loss because a spouse has left them. Others have grown up wondering what they did wrong because a parent abandoned them and their family. Heal our wounds. Heal our land. Pour out your Spirit and restore our love for each other in our homes. Help us, O Lord, find the way back to your grace and power so that we can be a people of solid marriages, loving families, and compassionate ministry. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Jesus says, But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for. marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and. anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

In this world we live in we think tomorrow we gonna die and we want to taste everything before we die and that's the principle which we live in and I feel """ This is the foundation of the sin""".

We think if we are not getting enough love, can be sexual from other partner or pure love we feel distressed or depressed or suicidal and we think thats the end of the world . So some people either search for sexual love from other people or search for missing love they need of and they commit sin . Divorce due to this issue i think is the biggest one which exist .

I agree on people who want to get separated because of their psychotic spouse and they have been beaten up daily or domestic violence and i say and its my words not god's to come out of their life and get a divorce

But for the people who wants to have divorce for the love or sexual reasons, I would say they are committing adultery as they are breaking up their wows to God which they did during marriage .

What happens if you dont get Sex ..will you die ? You will really die if you commit adultery and thrown out of the God's sight. If you are not getting enough love or sex, God knows that and he is testing you .
If you pass that test , you are actually entering that narrow gate which only few can enter .

If you say, i dont want to miss anything when am living in this world then you are actually one of many who agree with that . Out of 100 people , i think 80% will agree with you and say finding love or sex from other person is correct but only few say this is incorrect .

This world hardly we live for 60+ years or less than that and we should actually wait for eternal life with God where our faith in serving people or helping people should be higher than other .

Every case is different and every reason is different for divorce and i pray God to help everyone of us to stay pure and healthy in his sight .
