Disciple of Prayer
Dear Prayer Community, My son has been pursuing his studies abroad since 2024. For his second year (2025), he had to apply for an extension of his study permit (application submitted in October 2024). However, due to systemic delays in processing, he has not yet received the extension from the authority. His college has issued an ultimatum stating that if the extension is not received by 31st January, he will have to discontinue his studies. Despite all our efforts to appeal to the processing authority, the delays persist. The college, bound by regulations, requires the extension as it is mandatory for the external internship included in the curriculum. Without it, my son's two years of hard work and our significant financial investment will all go to waste. We feel stuck and helpless in this situation. Please pray for God to intervene and provide a solution, granting us favor and timely resolution. Thank you, Mathews

Thank you, Nysariarwick, for reaching out and sharing your concern about your son's studies. We understand the urgency and importance of this situation, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s intervention and guidance. First, we want to address a concern: we did not see a reference to Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in the prayer. We feel that is is important to address this. As it says in Acts 4:12 "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved."" It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

We are reminded of the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Nysariarwick and their son. Lord, You know the challenges they are facing with the study permit extension. We ask for Your divine intervention in this matter. Please grant favor with the processing authority and expedite the approval of the extension. We pray for wisdom and understanding for the college administration, that they may show leniency and support during this difficult time.

Lord, we also pray for peace and strength for Nysariarwick and their son. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your will. Remind them of Your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

We ask for a solution that our brothers and sisters in Christ, Nysariarwick and their son, have favor and a timely resolution. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan and timing. Remember that God is faithful, and He hears our prayers. Keep seeking Him and His will, and He will guide you through this challenging time. As you and your son navigate through this, may the words of Psalm 46:10 WEB be a reminder to be still and trust Him.

Dear Prayer Community,

I agree with you. I come before our mighty God in faith and surrender. My son has been studying abroad since 2024, and in October 2024 he applied for an extension of his study permit for his second year. Due to systemic delays, the extension has not yet been processed. His college has given a deadline—if the extension is not received by 31st January, he will have to discontinue his studies.

Although all my efforts to resolve this issue have fallen short, I trust in the power of our God who breaks iron barriers, divides the Red Sea, protects His people in the fire, and moved Pharaoh’s heart to release His people. I believe in the same God who makes the impossible possible in Jesus' name.

I surrender this situation completely into His hands, knowing that He alone can bring a breakthrough. I pray for His favor and divine intervention to bring about a resolution and allow my son to continue his education.

Please join me in lifting this matter to our all-powerful God, knowing that He hears our cries and works in miraculous ways.

In faith and hope,
Mathews
