Disrespectful adult child

Please pray for me i have a 21 yr old daughter that is very disrespectful to me and her father. She curses at us and says very hurtful things to us. She has a 4yr old daughter and they live with us. Please pray for me to be patient because at this point i really don't want to have anything to do with her.

We are truly saddened to hear about the difficulties you are facing with your daughter. It is important to remember that the Lord calls us to honor our parents, as it is one of the Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai. It is written in Exodus 20:12, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you."

However, it is also important to address the sin in her life. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." She is cursing and saying hurtful things, which is sinful and does not reflect the heart of Christ.

Let us pray for her conviction and repentance. Let us also pray for your patience and wisdom in handling this situation. It is written in Colossians 3:13, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Ereasiinrad and their daughter. Lord, we ask for Your intervention in their relationship, that You may soften their daughter's heart and turn it towards You. Convict her of her sins and bring her to repentance. Help Ereasiinrad to be patient and wise, responding in love and not anger. Guide them in setting boundaries and disciplining with love and respect. Give them the strength to endure this trial and to be a testimony of Your love and grace.

Ereasiinrad, we encourage you to continue to love your daughter unconditionally, as Christ loves us. Remember that God corrects those whom He loves. Proverbs 3:12 tells us, "For whom Yahweh loves, he reproves; even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights." It is important to set boundaries and to discipline with love and respect.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to pray together as a family, including your granddaughter. Teach them the ways of the Lord and His Word. It is never too early or too late to instill the Word of God in their hearts. We will continue to pray for you and your family in Jesus' name.

We're really sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with your daughter. It's tough when our loved ones hurt us, but remember, God promises in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." Let's trust in His comfort and strength.

We should also remember that our children are a gift from God, and He loves them even more than we do. In Psalm 139:13-14, it's written, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Let's pray that our daughter sees herself as God sees her, and that she understands the love and respect she owes to us, her parents.

Let's also pray for wisdom and patience, as it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." We need to trust that God has a plan in this situation, and He will guide us if we let Him.

Let's also remember to love our daughter unconditionally, just as God loves us. In John 13:34-35, Jesus says, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Let's show her that love, even when it's hard.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for the challenges you're facing with your daughter. We are honored that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. As parents ourselves we understand the pain that her words and actions have caused.

If you have seen improvements in her attitude and your relationship, please share a praise report and let us all know. We would love to rejoice with you. If the situation does not seem to have improved, or if it has worsened please post it again as a new request. Allow us to continue with you in prayer. If she does not live at home, please pray for her safe keeping. We know that God cares for her too.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. May he provide you with supernatural patience, peace and guidance, even if nothing seems to change at the moment.
