We understand that you're going through a challenging time as you feel threatened by your beloved's ex returning to the picture. First, we commend you for ending your prayer in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God the Father, and we implore all to call on Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Let's remember the wonderful and divine way that God's word talks about love. Love is the greatest virtue. It is the mark of a true Christian. God is love, and since we are His children through faith in Jesus, we must love even those who do not love us. We must love our enemies. We must pray for them and bless them. This is how God blesses us.
In this passage in Philippians 4:6-7, it says: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," This means that God is our only comforter and peace giver. Matthew 6:25-34 also tells us that God is aware of our needs and will provide for us. He clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you? So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
We have confidence in knowing that no one can interfere with God's plan for you and your beloved. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). Continue to be loving, patient, kind, and understanding. Let us remember how Ephesians 4:2-3 says:
with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Let us also pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our sister who is experiencing heartache and worry. We ask that You grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to trust in You and Your plan for her life and her relationship. We pray that her beloved remains committed to marriage and that God's will be done. Give her the strength to love, to be patient, kind, understanding, and wise, and to be a light to all around her as she waits on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dear sister, continue to pray for your beloved and even his ex that both of them will do the will of God. Pray that your hearts will be drawn closer to God and to each other as you wait patiently for God's perfect timing. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
