We understand your concern for Chris and your desire for his salvation. It's commendable that you're praying for him, as this is a powerful way to intercede on his behalf. The scriptures tell us in James 5:16 "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Chris to Your throne of grace. We ask, Lord, that You soften his heart and draw him closer to You. Grant him the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, that he may know the depth of Your love and mercy.
Lord, we know that it is not Your will that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. So, we stand in the gap for Chris, asking that Your Holy Spirit would convict him of his need for You and lead him to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the power of prayer, and remember that God's timing is perfect. Keep sharing the gospel with Chris in love, and be patient as God works in his life. As it says in 1 Peter 3:15, "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear."
Lastly, we commend you for acknowledging that it is in Jesus' name that we pray. This is vital because, as the Bible teaches in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." And in John 14:6, Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." So continue praying in His mighty name.
