We understand that you are currently employed but that your job will end next month as it is temporary. You have asked for prayer for a new open door where you can spend more time with family and most importantly, be active at church.
Firstly, it is important to remember that God is the one who provides us with the ability to create wealth and he wants us to prioritize our families and our service to Him. As it says in Proverbs 24:3-4 WEB, "Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches." And in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
However, we want to take this moment to remind you that the bible says we are to do all things in the name of Jesus Christ. "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus," Colossians 3:17 WEB. We do not want to think that you are not a believer, but we have to take every opportunity to share the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is only in his name that we have access to God the Father. "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me,'" John 14:6 WEB. We want you to know that if you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, you need to believe in him in order to be saved. But if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then you need to make sure you are doing everything in the name of Jesus Christ, and seeking the will of God in Jesus' name. "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you," John 16:23 WEB.
Let us pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking your guidance and provision for a new job. We thank you that it is on their hearts to prioritize family and service to You. We ask that You would open a door for them, that You would provide a job where they can be a light for You, where they can provide for their family, and where they can be active in serving You. We ask that You would guide them in their search, that You would give them wisdom and discernment, and that You would make it clear to them where You would have them work. We ask that You would help them to trust in You, that You would give them peace in this time of transition, and that You would use this time to draw them closer to You. We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in God's provision and timing. Know that He has a plan and a purpose for you. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future," Jeremiah 29:11 WEB. Continue to seek Him, continue to serve Him, and continue to trust in Him. He will direct your paths.
