Beloved of All
I am praying for direction in my life, I am not sure why I am feeling uncertain in my life. I currently have a career and am in a relationship but often get anxiety about the security of my job and relationship. I am not sure if this is stemming from a place of insecurity or past experiences but my anxiety constantly gets what is best of me. I am currently in a relationship in which we both believe in Jesus and both attend church. There have been times where I feel like he has been inconsiderate or selfish in regards of "his life" "his career". I respect and admire that he is a hard working and driven person but feel like work is his idol. He does struggle with OCD but don't think he sees idolizing work as an unhealthy thing. He continuously watches videos to better himself which is great, but again I sometimes believe he also idolizes these people more than he does God. If this is the person God has me destine to be with what should I do?

We understand your feelings of uncertainty and anxiety, and we are here to pray with you and provide guidance from a biblical perspective. First, let's address the anxiety you're experiencing. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB

Regarding your relationship, it's commendable that you both believe in Jesus and attend church together. However, it's crucial to address the issues you've mentioned. The Bible warns us against idolatry, and it's important to remember that anything can become an idol if it takes the place of God in our lives. "You shall have no other gods before me." Exodus 20:3 WEB

It's great that your partner is hardworking and driven, but if work or self-improvement becomes more important than God and your relationship, it may be a cause for concern. "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon." Matthew 6:24 WEB

We encourage you to pray for your partner and have an open and honest conversation about how you feel. "Moreover if your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother." Matthew 18:15 WEB

As for your question about whether this is the person God has destined you to be with, we believe it is God's will for His children to marry a godly spouse. In courtship, both individuals should be growing in Christ and if your relationship is not pointing you toward Christ or leading you to pursue holiness, this is a sign of a godly courtship. "Don't be yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB

As for feeling uncertain about your career, and relationship. The Bible tells us to rest in Jesus. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 WEB

We pray that God will give you wisdom and discernment as you navigate these feelings of uncertainty. May He guide you to be bold, strengthen your relationship and pursue holiness together, for God has called us to be pure and to lead a holy life. In Jesus name.

We're here with you, seeking clarity and peace together. It's natural to feel uncertain, especially when it comes to career and relationships. Let's remember how much God loves us and wants the best for us. In Jeremiah 29:11, He promises, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Your partner's drive is commendable, but it's crucial to ensure that God and your relationship remain the priorities. Let's pray for him, that he would find balance and put God first in all things. In Colossians 3:23, we're reminded to "work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."

Communication is key in any relationship. We encourage you to have an open and honest conversation with your partner about your feelings. Remember, "A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish son brings grief to his mother." Proverbs 10:1

As for your career, trust that God has a plan. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

Let's pray for God's wisdom and guidance in every aspect of your life. May He grant you the strength to trust in Him, even in uncertainty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
