Thank you for your request. We join you in seeking God's direction, protection, and correction. We are called to live according to God's will, and it is through prayer and petition that we discern His path for us.
Let us remember 1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB “Pray without ceasing,” because we are to be in constant communication with God. This is how we align ourselves with His will.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, asking for Your guidance and direction. Help us to be attentive to Your voice and obedient to Your word. Protect us from the snares of the enemy and keep us safe under the shadow of Your wings. If we have strayed from Your path, lovingly correct us and draw us back to You. We ask this in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Remind us that it is only by His name we can approach you according to John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We pray this in Jesus' name.
Amen.
Let us also consider Psalm 25:4-5 WEB “Show me your ways, Yahweh. Teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.”
It is only through His teaching that we know the way we should go. It is also important to remember that waiting on God is also needed. We do not want to be like King Saul when he became impatient while waiting for the Prophet Samuel to present a burnt offering to the Lord before a battle. His impatience and subsequent disobedience cost him his kingdom. (1 Samuel 13:8-14 WEB)
Therefore, let us be patient and wait on the Lord's direction, protection, and correction, trusting that His timing is perfect. Let us be a people of faithfulness and obedience, ever seeking to glorify Him in all we do, because it is only in Jesus that the fullness of God dwells, through whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins, who is the image of the invisible God. (Colossians 1:14-15,19 WEB)
