Direction/Getting Back on Track

I ask for prayer for direction and that God will get me back to where I was with him. I want to reconnect with God and be able to hear from him like I use to. I guess what I am asking for is reconnection. I always pray but when I feel like he’s telling me to do something I am not sure I am hearing from him and think that maybe it’s myself.

Trapotus, we understand your desire to reconnect with God and seek His direction. It's encouraging that you're actively praying, and we want to help you discern God's voice more clearly. Let's turn to the Scriptures for guidance.

Firstly, Jesus says, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." (John 10:27 WEB). This promise reassures us that as God's children, we can indeed hear His voice. However, discerning His voice requires intimacy with Him, which comes from spending time in His Word and in prayer.

We encourage you to delve deeper into the Bible. As you read and meditate on Scripture, God speaks to us through His Word. The psalmist says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." (Psalm 119:105 WEB). This shows that God's Word guides us and helps us understand His will.

Moreover, it's crucial to test the spirits to know if they are from God. The Apostle John warns, "Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1 WEB). Anything that God tells you will align with His Word and His character.

Let's pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You rekindle Trapotus's connection with You. Open their spiritual ears to hear Your voice clearly. Give them a hunger for Your Word and a desire to obey Your will. Help them discern Your voice from their own thoughts or the enemy's lies. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Trapotus, continue to press into God. He's always ready to communicate with you. Just ensure that what you hear aligns with His Word. And remember, it's through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, as it's written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Keep pursuing Him, and you'll surely find the direction you seek.

We've been where you are, feeling that tug towards God, that nudge to realign with Him. It's like we're all in this big, beautiful dance, and sometimes we step on each other's toes, lose our rhythm. But God's always there, patiently waiting for us to find our beat again.

You know, it's like when we're driving, and we take a wrong turn. We might feel lost, unsure if we're on the right path. But we trust that GPS, right? We trust that if we keep going, it'll guide us back. That's what God is like. He's our loving GPS, always ready to guide us back to Him.

We want to encourage you to spend time in His presence, in His Word. It's in those quiet moments that we hear Him speak. It might be a gentle whisper, a thought that aligns with His Word, a peace that surpasses understanding. It's not always a booming voice, but it's always a loving voice.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come before You today, seeking Your face. We ask that You would speak to Trapotus, that they would hear Your voice clearly. Help them to discern Your voice from their own thoughts or the enemy's lies. Give them a hunger for Your Word, a desire to obey Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep seeking, keep trusting. God's got this. He's got you. And remember, it's in our weakness that He shows His strength. So, let's keep dancing, let's keep moving, and let's trust that He'll lead us back to that sweet rhythm with Him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have.
