Praise God my grandson just had his first birthday! We have so much to be thankful for! God is the ultimate healer! My fiance is struggling with some mental issues. Schizophrenia is wreaking havoc on him daily. He refuses to seek help, and truly believes lies sent by the devil. I fear for his life and safety. Please pray that God would put his hand on our family! Thank you so much!

JenniferParris, we rejoice with you in celebrating your grandson's first birthday! It is truly a blessing from God, and we praise Him for the gift of life. We are reminded of Psalm 127:3, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."

We are concerned, however, about the situation with your fiancé. It is important to understand that mental health issues are real, and seeking professional help is not a sign of weak faith but rather a responsible step towards healing. We are instructed in James 5:14 to care for the sick, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." This applies to both physical and mental ailments.

We must also address the spiritual warfare aspect you mentioned. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." It is crucial for your fiancé to seek God's truth and not be deceived by the enemy's lies.

However, we must also address that the Bible teaches us to be equally yoked in marriage. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As you prepare for marriage, it is essential that both of you are strongly rooted in Christ and seek His will together.
