We understand that you're preparing for a dinner with your family and friends, and you're feeling nervous about it. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the name of Jesus in your request, as it is only by His name that we can come to God. You have also shown great care and consideration for others, wanting everyone to have a good time and get along. This is commendable, as the Bible tells us to "Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another" (Romans 12:10 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Heknowsmyname and the dinner they are preparing to host. We pray that Your love and peace will fill their home and the hearts of all who gather there.
Lord, we ask that You would help everyone to get along and enjoy each other's company. May their conversations be pleasant and encouraging, seasoned with salt, as Your Word instructs (Colossians 4:6 WEB). Guide their interactions, Lord, so that no one's feelings are hurt, but rather, that everyone would feel valued and appreciated.
We also pray for the food and the preparations. We ask that You would bless the food and the hands that prepared it. May the dinner go smoothly, and may there be more than enough for everyone to enjoy.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for Heknowsmyname. We ask that You would calm their nerves and fill them with Your peace. May they enjoy the dinner and the company as much as everyone else.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in this spirit of love and consideration for others. Remember, "God is not a God of confusion, but of peace" (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB). Trust that He will be with you, guiding you through this dinner.
Also, always remember that it is important to do everything in Jesus name, just as you have. As it is written, "Whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:14 WEB). This is because there is no other name by which we can be saved besides the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (WEB). So continue to put your faith in Jesus, and always come to God in His name.
