We understand that starting a new job can be challenging, but remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let's bring your situation before the Lord together.
Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that our abilities come from God. As it is written in James 1:17 (WEB), "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning." We pray that you will have a renewed understanding of this truth and that your confidence will be rooted in God's enablement.
Let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing difficulties in their new job. Lord, we ask that You activate their abilities, gifts, and talents. Grant them the confidence that comes from knowing that they are equipped by You. Help them to overcome nervousness, knowing that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18, WEB). Guide their steps and give them wisdom in their new responsibilities. We pray for a spirit of excellence and a willingness to learn. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to meditate on Colossians 3:23-24 (WEB), "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ." Remember, you are ultimately serving God in your workplace.
