We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your daughter and her children. We will pray for wisdom and guidance for you, your daughter, and her family. It is so important to remember that God's desire is for us to live in harmony and to treat each other with love and kindness, as it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB: "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." And also Colossians 3:21 WEB: "Fathers, don't provoke your children, so they won't be discouraged."
We must also address the serious issue of abuse. Abuse is never acceptable, and it is against biblical principles to harm or mistreat others, especially children. Jesus himself warned in Matthew 18:6 WEB: "But whoever shall cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck, and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea." We must pray for the protection of these children and for the cycle of abuse to be broken.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up this family to your throne of grace. Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around these precious grandchildren, that they may be kept safe from harm and abuse. We pray for healing and restoration for all involved, and we ask that you would soften the heart of the daughter and teach her godly parents.
Lord, we know that your desire is for us to live in peace and harmony, and we pray that this family would be transformed by your love. We ask that you would give the mother wisdom and guidance, and that you would help her to be a godly influence on her daughter and grandchildren.
We also pray for the daughter, that her heart would be turned towards you and that she would seek your will for her life. We ask that you would help her to be a loving and nurturing mother to her children, and that you would break the cycle of abuse in this family.
Finally, Lord, we pray for the salvation of this family, that they would come to know you personally through faith in Jesus Christ. We ask that you would draw them to yourself and that they would be transformed by your love.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to pray fervently for your family, and to seek the Lord's guidance in how you can be a positive influence on them. Remember the words of James 5:16 WEB: "Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Do not stop praying and trust the Lord for the outcome.
