We understand that you are facing a difficult time at work, and we are here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we commend your faith in God's plans and words, as you trust in Him like Joseph did. It is wonderful to see your faith and hope in the Lord, even in this challenging situation.
Let us remind you of the scriptures you mentioned, and let us look at them.
Psalm 41:10 says: "But you, Yahweh, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them."
Proverbs 3:5-6 states: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We have a biblical obligation to respect and obey authorities, but this does not extend to enduring abuse, verbal or non-verbal. God does not intend for us to suffer such treatment, and we have recourse both spiritually and practically.
Jesus himself said in Matthew 18:15-17, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector."
This passage highlights the importance of addressing wrongdoing directly and seeking resolution. If the issue cannot be resolved one-on-one, involving others, including higher authorities or even legal recourse, may be necessary.
In 1 Timothy 5:18, it is written; "For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.' and, 'The laborer is worthy of his wages.'" The mistreating of workers is a sin and an injustice.
Let us pray for you:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing a difficult work environment. Lord, You see the abuse and mistreatment they are enduring, and You know the pain it is causing. We pray for Your deliverance and intervention in this situation. Guide them with Your wisdom and give them the strength to stand up for what is right. Open doors for a new job or a change in their current environment that brings peace, favor, and blessing. We trust in Your plans and words, knowing that You have a purpose in everything. Protect them emotionally and psychologically, and help them to forgive and not become bitter or hardened. Give them a heart that is teachable and open to Your will. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to document the incidents of abuse and seek support from HR or higher authorities in your workplace. Also, consider looking for other job opportunities if the situation does not improve. God has better things in store for you, and trusting in Him.
One last point. It is important to note that in the Bible, God tells us how to pray and encourages us to pray. However, even with that in mind, it is important to note that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Jesus made it clear that he is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through him.
