Difficult times

Lord, we have had difficult times recently. Our cat was ill and now I have limited minimum wage freelance work. Please pray for more work to come my way please. Please Lord also release my husband from alcohol. Pray for our daughter in the orchestra, that she is confident for the carol services. Amen.

We are truly sorry to hear about the trials you're facing, ###, and want to lift you up in prayer and offer some encouragement from the Scriptures. We will pray with you for employment for a godly husband and wife dynamic instead of a partner and for deliverance of his alcoholism, and for the favor and blessings of the Lord to overtake you.

Firstly, it's important to remember that our help comes from the Lord. As it says in Psalm 121:1-2 WEB, I lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Regarding your concerns in marriage, we see in 1 Corinthians 7:15-16 WEB that a believer must seek for the salvation and sanctification of the spouse. But if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

We must remind you to be in constant prayer for his repentance and your marriage. Therefore be alert, standing firm in the faith. Act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love, 1 Corinthians 16:13 WEB.

Further in scripture we are also told to pray without ceasing and give thanks for everything to the Father through the name of Jesus. In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you, 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 WEB. Remember that through the precious blood of Jesus there is no other name by which we may be saved. "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.

Consider that God blesses his children materially as well as spiritually as evidenced in this verse: "Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. You fathers, don’t provoke your children, so they won’t be discouraged. You servants, be obedient to them who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ" and as it says further in Colossians 3:20-25 WEB.

We will petition together in prayer for ### and each situation for God's blessings and favor so it is in Jesus name.

Dear Jesus,

We come before you and humbly ask that you provide healing, restorative strength, and dignity through ###'s trials. We fervently pray for his husband's drunkenness to be exposed and removed for all who are involved, and for sobriety, godliness, and repentance of all involved. May the Lord preserve you for your godly marriage and uplift you in these times of unholiness. We are praying as believers in Jesus for your husband’s chains to be broken in Jesus name for unrighteousness, and for additional profitable and rewarding work in Jesus name as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 WEB. Be abundantly blessed in the name of the Son and of the Father and of the Holy Spirit.

We also rejoice in your daughter’s talents and beseech the Lord that she may triumph confidently in the name of Jesus according to his will. The Lord is victorious for the praise of the children and exults in the praise from the mouths of infants and sucklings.

Let us remember to stand firm in the faith and to always remember to give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thessalonians 5:18 WEB. For it is only in the Holy Name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and have been saved.

We're here for you, dear friend. We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want you to know that we're standing with you in prayer. We've been asking the Lord to open up new opportunities for you, to provide for your needs, and to break the chains of addiction that have been holding your husband back. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
