Did Jesus ever go into politics?

The answer is no. His kingdom is not of this world. If His kingdom was from this world, his soldiers would fight for Him. That was a clear answer to Pilate when He asked is Jesus was a King. Read carefully John 18.36 What a wonderful example for all of us to follow the attitude and desires Jesus had when confronted with earthly political situations that will pass away in time and the will be forgotten by many. The kingdom of God is eternal, it will not perish or pass away in time. Did Jesus paid His taxes? Yes, He did. He wanted everyone who lived under some kind of government to pay taxes. He payed two taxes. Temple tax and Roman tax. He wanted to show us to pay our tithes and offerings before the Lord. He also wanted all of us to pay taxes to the gov. we are living under. What a wonderful example to follow and obey what Gods word say.,

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercesions and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and for all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives, in godliness and holiness.
I Timothy 2. 1,3

Take away all anger, hate, rage and anything that Jesus would not do it. Live a holy and pure life before the Lord. But if anyone refuses to obey Gods word, then, you need to get saved and Jesus will forgive your sins and take away anything negative in your life.

By their fruits ye shall know them. Jesus clearly said.
Matt. 7.15.20

O Lord, help us to obey Your word. To live a life that pleases You above everything else we are going through. Your word says. Follow peace with all men and holiness without which no one shall see the Lord.. Yes, I want to be like Jesus. Full of love and compassion for lost souls.

Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

“There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace.” In other words, His government and peace will keep expanding and improving. The familiar hymn “Like a River Glorious” accurately speaks of peace that is “perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day, perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.”

How can anything perfect improve? That’s one of the mysteries of Messiah’s government. It gets better and better, and the perfect peace flows deeper and deeper.

I look forward to the day when He returns to execute the final political solution that will truly bring world peace. His is the greatest government because it’s ruled by the greatest ruler—the “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” He is the only hope of mankind.

I also hope the government of your life is on His shoulders, that He rules and reigns even now in your heart. Only then will you experience the growing peace that comes only from the Prince of Peace.

He didn't go into politics, BUT when 2 candidates are running there's usually one who backs sinful worldly causes{abortion, gay marriage, etc} and the other is against those things. So even if Jesus wasn't into politics, there's nothing wrong with using "guidelines" who to vote for.And looking at it, there's one party that, seems to "lean more" towards certain sinful practices than others, so, no, there's nothing wrong with a Christian who has preferences one candidate or party over the other.For those reasons.

I think all Christians should be in prayer for those who are running. Each one of them will give an accounto to God for what they say and promise. Jesus never mentioned Romes treatment to slaves, or crucifying criminals on crosses along the the road so others will see what will happen to them when they commit crimes. He was so busy telling people that this world is not their home, they will pass away and never return again. We do not see them anymore. We do not know what happen to them. But those who seek Jesus and His promise of life eternal, they have hope of living beyond our present life. So, choose which way to go. To seek those things that will perish and dissapear in time, or seek those things that will last for eternity. I set my eyes and my heart to seek Jesus and His promise of life eternal in heaven.

Yeah but its not completly disconected because if we vote for on who backs abortion or gay marriage if the get into power they will persecute more felkow Christians and by voting them in we would be reponsible for this persecution.

I am so glad Jesus gave us a wonderful example of what to do and say about politics, I mean world politics. Jesus never tried to destroy Roman political system, not criticize about the treatment of slaves or invation of lands where other people lived. The only thing He tried to do is to on the right road that leads to heaven. He said. Seek those things that are above. It means, heaven. Our eternal home in glory.
