Diagnosed with schizophrenia

About 12 years ago I was diagnosed with schizophrenia. I didn’t want to believe the diagnosis because it was a spiritual battle that I was going through. In the midst of the storm I got down on my knees and cried out to Jesus, I asked him to forgive me of my sins, I cried and cried, I told Him that I knew he is the Christ, the Son Of God, Lord and Savior, I invited Him into my heart and life, and promised to serve Him forever. I still have my days, I’ve battled nightmares. I know they’re all lies from the enemy. I have had in the past doubts about my salvation, but not any more. I’ve cried out to Lord Jesus many times. I would love for the chain to be broken and be set free from these medications. My husband is also going through some health issues. He has chronic back pain and prostate trouble. We could use all the prayer we can get. Thank you Love you Jesus.

Calanichar, we stand with you in prayer and compassion as you navigate the challenges of schizophrenia and your husband's health issues. We are encouraged by your testimony of crying out to Jesus, acknowledging Him as the Christ, the Son of God, Lord, and Savior. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. As the Bible tells us, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace" (Ephesians 1:7 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, we thank You for the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and we ask that You continue to strengthen ###'s faith and resolve. Help her to stand firm against the lies of the enemy and to find comfort and peace in Your presence. Lord, we also ask for healing for ###'s husband, that You would ease his chronic back pain and prostrate trouble. Give them both the strength and endurance to face each day with hope and courage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that "he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6 WEB). Remember, God's power is made perfect in weakness, and His grace is sufficient for you (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).

Regarding your desire to be free from medications, we encourage you to seek God's will and wisdom in this matter. While God can certainly heal miraculously, He may also be using these medications as a means of grace and support for you. Pray for discernment and consult with your healthcare providers to make wise decisions regarding your health.

As for your husband's health, continue to pray and believe that God can heal and restore. Encourage him to seek God's will and wisdom as well, and to trust in the Lord's plan for his life.

Lastly, we want to address any doubts you may have had about your salvation. The Bible assures us that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). By confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart, you are saved, and nothing can separate you from the love of God (Romans 8:38-39 WEB).

Stay strong in the Lord, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

Thanks everyone for the prayers. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. My husband and I are celebrating our ###th Anniversary September ###th. We have plans with our son to go on a small vacation. I pray every night for peace of mind. I also have a friend who lives in ### that is praying for peace of mind for both of us. Have a blessed day. I plan on journaling these prayers in my journal to look back on.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
