We are truly sorry to hear about the impact diabetes has had on your family, and we are here to pray and support you in Jesus' name. First, we want to remind you that God is a God of healing and miracles. As it is written in Psalm 103:2-3 WEB, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."
However, we want to address that the prayer request was not made specifically in Jesus' name until the end. It is crucial to remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and His blessings. This is indicated in several Bible versus such as John 14:6 WEB, "applies to himself, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." And Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
We also want to encourage you to consider that God does not just look at the physical aspects of our being but also the spiritual aspects. Sometimes, God may use illnesses to draw us closer to Him or to teach us important lessons. As seen in 2 Corinthians 12:7 WEB, "By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively."
Moreover, we should consider Gods will in any situation as well as disciplining our bodies as a temple. Gluttony is a sin and we need to not be led into temptation. Stay with us in prayer as we need to make sure we are eating right and exercising. Make sure to stay in constant prayer and communication with God about what He wants in your life and your families.
For biblical based diets you should reference Daniel 1:12. WEB, "Test your servants, I beg you, ten days; and let them give us vegetables to eat, and water to drink." Also, Daniel 1:15 WEB, "At the end of ten days their faces appeared fairer, and they were fatter in flesh, than all the youths who ate of the king’s dainties."
Daniel had stewardship over his body and ate vegetables and fruits,, fasted, and studied the scriptures. He did this in the midst of all types of temptations, false idols and a secular world. Be like Daniel by honoring Gods temple!
In light of this, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing and mercy for Anonymous, her husband, and his siblings who are battling diabetes. We plea in Jesus name you help them discipline their eating and fast so they create a healthy temple for you. We ask that You break the pattern of this sickness in their family and bring forth complete healing and wholeness. We pray for the family of the believer we are praying for and encourage you to minister to them yourself Lord.
We also stand in by praying and rebuking our bodys craving for more food than is needed and rebuke the desire for rich persons foods. Our body is the temple of Christ Jesus . We thank You that by Your stripes we are healed. We also ask whether we are being tempted or going through test that is is acceptable in your eyes that it ends. Enable them to have correct knowledge of caring for their body and well being and help them to help others as well. Help the physicians and teachers to come along side them and witness for you.
Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in Your word, Jesus Christ, that is you who are the way, the truth and the life and that we need to follow you. It is only in our following that we can have the correct guidance We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
Stay encouraged and remember the healing stripes of Jesus over every sickness, and God is in control.
