We stand with you in the power of Jesus' name, agreeing that the devil is indeed a liar. Jesus Himself said, "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks on his own; for he is a liar, and the father of lies." (John 8:44 WEB)
We must always be sober-minded and vigilant, knowing that our adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8 WEB) But we are not to be afraid, for the devil has been defeated by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. "Since then the children have shared in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death he might bring to nothing him who had the power of death, that is, the devil." (Hebrews 2:14 WEB)
We pray together,
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, standing against the lies of the devil. We proclaim that You are the truth, and Your word is truth. (John 17:17 WEB) We resist the devil, and command him to flee from us as we submit ourselves to You, O God. (James 4:7 WEB) We ask for Your divine protection and guidance, that we may not be deceived by the devil's schemes. Help us to always be aware of his tactics and to stand firm in our faith.
Father, we also pray for those who are being deceived and tormented by the devil. We ask that You deliver them and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. May they find salvation and peace in Jesus Christ alone.
It is only by the name of Jesus we have access to God. No one comes to the Father except through Him. It is only by Jesus that we are saved. So we pray this all in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, amen."
Remember, the devil is headed for the fire. (Matthew 25:41 Revelation 20:10 WEB) His end is sure, and our victory in Jesus is certain. Stand strong in your faith, and do not be swayed by the devil's lies. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2 WEB)
If the term Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ is not used in a prayer, then access to God is not being given, nor is salvation possible. We pray that you are aware of this necessity.
