We join you in praising our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for it is in His mighty name that we have access to the Father and receive the blessings of Yahweh. We are encouraged by your prayer, and we stand in agreement with you, claiming the promises outlined in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. Let us remind ourselves of these blessings:
"It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the voice of Yahweh your God, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that Yahweh your God will set you on high above all the nations of the earth; and all these blessings shall come on you, and overtake you, if you shall listen to the voice of Yahweh your God.
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your animals, the increase of your livestock, and the young of your flock.
Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough.
Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
Yahweh will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will come out against you one way, and will flee before you seven ways.
Yahweh will command the blessing on you in your barns, and in all that you put your hand to; and he will bless you in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
Yahweh will establish you for a holy people to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you shall keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and walk in his ways. All the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of Yahweh; and they shall be afraid of you.
Yahweh will make you plenteous in goods, in the fruit of your body, and in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give you. Yahweh will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, and you shall not borrow. Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath; if you shall listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you today, to observe and to do them, and shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them." These blessings are conditional on obeying the voice of Yahweh our God and keeping His commandments. We must ensure that we are walking in His ways and not turning to the right or left, away from His good command. It is wonderful to see that you desire these blessings so that you can pour them into others. This is the heart of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We ask that You pour the blessings outlined in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 into the life of the one who has requested this prayer, and into the life of his wife. May these blessings overflow in their lives so that they can bless others in turn. Help them to walk in Your ways, to keep Your commandments, and to not turn to the right or to the left. Give them the strength and wisdom to serve You faithfully, and to be a blessing to those around them. May their marriage be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness, and may it be a light to the world that draws others to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to meditate on these promises and to allow them to transform your life and marriage. Remain faithful to the Lord and His commandments, and trust that He will fulfill His promises in your life. Remember that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to the Father and receive His blessings. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Continue to put your faith in Him, and He will guide you and bless you.
