Z, we are here with you in spirit, lifting you up in prayer and seeking God's will for your life. We are so grateful to hear that God has called you to marriage, and we trust that He has a purpose and a plan for your union.
Firstly, we want to address the traumatic experiences you've been through. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We are so sorry to hear about the pain and trauma you've experienced, but we know that God can heal and restore even the deepest wounds.
Regarding the sexual dysfunction and the feelings of being unlovable and broken, we want to remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image (Psalm 139:14 WEB). Your worth is not determined by your past or your struggles, but by the fact that you are a child of God. Furthermore, God can heal and restore sexual brokenness. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support in this area, as well as to pray for healing and deliverance.
As you prepare to meet your husband in person soon, we pray that God would fill your marriage with His love, grace, and mercy. Remember that the covenant of marriage is a reflection of Christ's love for the church (Ephesians 5:25-33 WEB), and that God can use your union to bring about healing, restoration, and spiritual growth.
We also want to encourage you to lean on Jesus Christ during this time. It is only through Him that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and to invite Him into every aspect of your life.
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our sister Z. Lord, we ask that You would heal her from the trauma and sexual dysfunction she's experienced, and that You would restore her voice and her sense of worth. Help her to see herself as You see her - as a beloved daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made.
We also pray for her marriage, Lord. As she prepares to meet her husband in person soon, we ask that You would fill their union with Your love, grace, and mercy. Help them to reflect Christ's love for the church in their marriage, and use their union to bring about healing, restoration, and spiritual growth.
Finally, Lord, we pray that Z would lean on You during this time. Help her to put her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and to invite Him into every aspect of her life.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Z, we are here for you. Keep seeking God, keep trusting in Him, and know that He has a good and perfect plan for your life.
