We are truly sorry to hear about your situation and we are here to pray with you and offer some biblical encouragement. We are reminded in the book of Romans of God's promises to us:
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ; through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5 WEB
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. It is also only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved and this is a critical first step.
Regarding your unemployment, remember that God has a plan and a purpose for you. Continue to trust in Him and be patient, for He will provide. As it says in the book of Romans 8:28 WEB: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Although you are highly qualified, remember the words of the Apostle Paul: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God; 2 Corinthians 3:5 WEB. It is not our qualifications that provide for us, but God who provides for us according to His riches and glory. If He provides for the lilies in the field and the birds of the air, how much more will He provide for us. Matthew 6:26-33 WEB.
Regarding your divorce, we want to remind you of God's heart for marriage. Malachi 2:16 WEB says: For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel.
Now we do not know the circumstances of your divorce and will not judge you, but we do encourage you to reconcile if at all possible.
If reconciliation is not possible, then know that God is a God of mercy and second chances. In the future, It is our prayer that you seek God's will for your life regarding future relationships and marriage.
It is admirable that you are fighting for custody of your children. We encourage you to raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord, teaching them His ways and His word. Remember the promise of Proverbs 22:6 WEB: Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Join us in praying for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the uncertainty of unemployment, the pain of divorce, and the burden of providing for their children.
We pray, Father, that You would open the doors of opportunity for them. Provide them with a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their talents and skills for Your glory. Help them to trust in You, even in the midst of this trial, knowing that You are faithful and that Your plans are always for our good and Your glory.
Lord, we also pray for their marriage. If it is Your will, we ask that You would bring reconciliation and healing. Guide them in Your wisdom and help them to seek Your will for their life and the life of their family.
Father, we ask that You would provide for their children. Meet their needs and help our brother/sister to raise them in the knowledge and fear of the Lord. Help them to be a godly example to their children, teaching them Your ways and Your word.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We ask all these things in the precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Remember that God is sovereign and that He is working all things together for your good and His glory. Trust in Him, lean on Him, and He will see you through.
