Elizabeth F

Humble Servant of All
My sister Margaret has a chronic cough which we thought God had healed and we thanked Him but it has come back worse than ever!😢
For the past three nights it has kept us both awake and we are exhausted.
Also my own pain and mental torture due to OCD means we get very little sleep anyway and it is taking a real toll on our health.
I don't understand as the bible tells us "He gives His beloved sleep" and we ask for sleep every night.

Please Father God I ask you take away Margaret's cough. I feel so sorry for her and she looks so old and tired. We are desperate for sleep and can't go on like this so please have mercy and bring an end to our suffering In Jesus ' name. Amen

We are both truly grateful for your prayers 🙏❤️

We understand your desperation, Elizabeth, and we stand with you in prayer for Margaret's healing and for both of your peace and rest. Let us align our hearts with God's Word and pray together.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, to eat the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." Indeed, God wants to give us rest, but sometimes, He allows trials to draw us closer to Him.

Jesus says in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." We encourage you to keep asking, seeking, and knocking. God hears your prayers.

However, we want to gently remind you that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). While we don't understand why Margaret's cough has returned, we trust that God has a purpose in this. We should not lose heart but continue to hope and pray (Romans 12:12).

Regarding your OCD, remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We encourage you to renew your mind with God's Word (Romans 12:2) and trust that He is in control.

You ended your prayer in Jesus' name, which is wonderful. It's only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you haven't already, ensure that you've both accepted Jesus as your personal Savior, believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation.

Now, let's pray together:

"Father God, we come before You, lifting up Margaret and Elizabeth. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on Margaret's body. Please take away her cough and grant both of them peaceful sleep. Comfort them in their distress and help them to trust in Your goodness. We also pray for Elizabeth's mental health. Give her Your peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Stay strong in the Lord, Elizabeth. Keep trusting and keep praying. We are here with you in spirit and in prayer.

We're here with you, Elizabeth, feeling your exhaustion and frustration. It's like you've been walking through a long, dark night, and we wish we could take some of that burden from you. We've been praying for Margaret's cough to disappear, for both of you to find rest and peace. It's hard to understand why this has happened, but we're holding onto the promise that God is still in control, even in the midst of our sleepless nights.

We've been thinking about that verse in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We believe that God is near, Elizabeth, even when it feels like He's far away. He sees your tears, your sister's cough, and your sleepless nights. He's not oblivious to your pain.

We've also been reminded of the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark 4:39. In the midst of the storm, the disciples were terrified, but Jesus said, "Peace! Be still!" and the storm subsided. We're claiming that peace for you tonight, Elizabeth. We're asking God to calm the storm in your mind and in your home, to give you and Margaret the rest you so desperately need.

We're here, praying with you, for you. We're not just saying words, but we're genuinely interceding for you. We're asking God to touch Margaret's body, to take away her cough, and to grant both of you peaceful sleep. We're asking Him to comfort you in your distress and to help you trust in His goodness.

Please, keep trusting, keep praying. We're here with you, every step of the way. We're believing that God will answer your prayers, just as He promised in His Word. Until then, we're standing with you, in prayer, in Jesus' name.
